How Camp Laurelwood Keeps Campers Safe
Safety is foundational to everything we do at Camp Laurelwood, including physical safety, emotional well being, and clear communication with families.
Campers follow structured daily schedules with consistent supervision. Staff are trained to provide age appropriate care and to maintain awareness of where campers are and how they are doing throughout the day.
Emotional safety matters just as much. Camp should be a place where children feel respected, supported, and comfortable being themselves. Expectations for behavior are clear, and concerns are addressed promptly and thoughtfully.
Parents can expect transparency. If something meaningful affects your child, you will hear from us. Trust is built through honesty and communication, not surprises.
In addition to daily supervision, our campus is managed with clear security procedures. Camp Laurelwood is a private property with controlled access, and staff are always present and aware of who is on campus. Visitors are managed intentionally, and systems are in place to ensure campers are only in appropriate areas at appropriate times. These measures help create a safe and secure environment where campers can focus on being kids.
