Camp Laurelwood is an evolving Jewish community where we build the world we aspire to live in by creating opportunities for people to connect, explore, and inspire.
We envision a kinder world supported by generations of goodness and a vibrant Jewish community.
Campers entering second through 10th grades live in newly updated bunks with their friends and counselors, and enjoy all of the programs and activities camp has to offer!
Laurelwood Day Camp is run by Camp Laurelwood and is a great way for campers (K to 7th grade) to start their camping experience.
Campers can begin their Laurelwood journey as they enter Kindergarten by trying out our amazing day camp.
From there, each summer they will grow, make new friends, and experience new adventures.
At Camp Laurelwood, our campers grow into Staff-in-Training, then eventually can apply to be on staff.
Growing up at camp can mean making camp your summer home for many years!
Each program will combine immersive, professional instruction and skill development with our high-energy summer camp fun for an intense, well-rounded experience.
Campers will master new skills, make new friends and gain a stronger sense of community with an emphasis on the values of teamwork, cooperation and sportsmanship.
Camp Laurelwood is a great place for your child to learn to swim! We have a beautiful lake, 2 pools, and lots of opportunity for campers to participate in aquatics programming.
In addition to recreational swimming, campers in grades K-7 have instructional swim approximately 5 times throughout the week. Our qualified instructors teach them on their level, and provide safe and fun activities to promote swim development. Our Swimming Program
"When I’m at camp I’m so busy making friends, doing activities, singing on benches at shabbat, roasting marshmallows, and being a part of the countless other special things we do. When the 7 weeks are over and I have my first moment to reflect on the summer, I realize that all throughout each of those special days I was actually growing as a person and becoming a more genuine, thoughtful version of myself."
"After 9 summers at laurelwood I can say with confidence that it gets better every year. It's always such a wonderful mix of new and old faces and bonds that form and grow each summer. Laurelwood has shaped me into who I am today and I'm forever grateful for the experiences and environment it provided me growing up."
"Not a day goes by when I don’t think of camp; I am reminded of my home away from home when I hear “Unwritten” on the radio, whenever I wear a white blouse, and whenever I eat a blondie. It is the small traditions that make camp unique. Laurelwood has provided a safe haven for me to pursue my passions with the most supportive staff and campers."
